The Center Square announced the addition of Christian Russell, an accomplished video producer and digital media producer, who joins the organization as it continues expanding its multimedia footprint and building out more consistent, daily programming.
Russell brings years of high-level production experience across fast-paced national media environments, having produced segments and digital content tied to some of the biggest names in American political and cultural commentary. Russell previously worked as a producer and editor supporting programming for Bill O’Reilly, Andrew Cuomo and, most recently, Mike Ghallager with Salem Media Group. He consistently contributed to daily podcast and broadcast production while delivering high-quality content under tight deadlines.
“The Center Square is building something special and Christian is exactly the kind of high-caliber talent we need to help take our programming to the next level,” said Cole McNeely, vice president of audio and video for The Center Square. “He brings real experience producing in high-pressure environments with major names and major expectations. As we shift into more daily programming to highlight the great work we do, we’re thrilled to bring in an experienced and up-and-coming talent like Christian.”
Russell will support The Center Square’s growing slate of video and digital programming, helping deliver sharper, faster and more engaging coverage of state and national issues. As a national wire service, The Center Square makes all content — print, audio and video available to media partners, following our republications guidelines. Expansion into video provides additional journalism to the outlets who need it and the audiences demanding it.
“I’m incredibly excited to join The Center Square because the mission here is digging into what’s actually happening in statehouses and communities and delivering the facts,” said Russell. “The Center Square is doing the kind of serious journalism that matters and I’m proud to be a part of telling those stories every day.”
