Times Publishing Company, publisher of the Tampa Bay Times, announced the appointment of Morgan Whiteley as its vice president of marketing and philanthropy.
Whiteley, 36, came to the Times in 2024 from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette with a strong track record of supporting local news through purpose-driven growth. Her work in philanthropy and live journalism events has helped the Times advance in ways that are both sustainable and responsive to community needs. In this new role, Whiteley will oversee marketing, external communications, events and philanthropic initiatives at the Tampa Bay Times and its many publications.
"Morgan has made a tremendous impact on our company and community,” said Conan Gallaty, the Times’ chairman and CEO. “This new position enables her to further expand our strategy by putting the Times brand and its journalism front and center in Tampa Bay.”
Justo “Jay” Rey, 45, will continue to lead innovative advertising and marketing solutions for clients in his role as vice president of client strategy and advertising. Rey also serves as president and publisher for the Tampa Bay Beacons.
