Newspapers of New England has launched five brand new mobile apps with Pugpig: Concord Monitor, Daily Hampshire Gazette, Greenfield Recorder, Monadnock Ledger-Transcript and Valley News. This launch is the latest to be delivered as part of the ongoing partnership between Pugpig and Newspack, the WordPress-powered CMS for local news outlets.

Among the oldest continuously published newspapers in the country, these esteemed titles are furthering their legacy of trusted local journalism by launching on Pugpig Bolt. Continuing to serve the same loyal communities across Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont, now via a premium mobile experience.

Sleeker, smoother and more engaging than ever. An intuitive top tab bar puts readers in control, making it effortless to navigate the content timelines that matter most. Complete with crisp digital E-papers, seamlessly integrated through our fully in-house built importer, the new apps deliver a truly elevated reading experience.

With Bolt, their team is empowered to build a smarter, data-informed digital strategy by leveraging real-time insights to grow and retain users. The apps use a metered model which is a critical part of their subscription growth roadmap.

Prior to this project, Pugpig has worked closely with Newspack to bring feature-rich mobile apps to life for Houston Herald, Lookout Eugene-Springfield, Lookout Santa Cruz and Jersey Evening Post. Another Newspapers of New England title, Athol Daily News, is set to launch soon.
