Matt McMillan nominated as chairman of America's Newspapers

Matt McMillan, CEO of Press Publications, has been nominated to become chairman of America's Newspapers.  The election of officers and a new director for 2025-26 will be held at 9 a.m. MST on Wednesday morning, Nov. 5, during the Senior Leadership Conference in Colorado Springs.

In addition to McMillan, the following officers were nominated:

  • For vice chair: Patrick Dorsey, publisher, Santa Fe New Mexican
  • For treasurer: Jeremy Gulban, CEO, CherryRoad Media

Leonard Woolsey, president of Southern Newspapers, Inc. and president and publisher of The Daily News in Galveston, Texas, will become immediate past chair.

Board of Directors

Nancy Meyer, president and publisher of the Houston Chronicle in Texas, was nominated to serve a three-year term on the board of directors.  

All members are encouraged to attend the Senior Leadership Conference and the Wednesday morning business meeting.  

In addition to the elections, members will vote on an amendment to the bylaws during the business meeting.
