The Houston Chronicle has named Rachel Nostrant its new energy reporter. She will be an integral part of the business team covering the oil and gas industry, a driving force in the Houston economy.
In this role, Nostrant will cover the complexities of an industry at a crossroads as it navigates calls for global growth while at the same time bracing for a transition to cleaner fuels. She'll also focus on how those demands impact Houston, its residents and workers, and its at-time fragile infrastructure. Nostrant will go beyond typical corporate updates to explore the human impact of shifting energy, policy and environmental priorities on Houston and its people.
