A group of Post-Gazette employees in the Teamsters, Pressmen, Mailers and Typographical unions went on strike at midnight Thursday in protest of a lack of agreement regarding health care coverage. This strike affected the production of Thursday’s print edition. The electronic version of Thursday's edition published as normal.

Post-Gazette workers in the Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh are not on strike, and the organization will continue to publish every day via its digital products, including PGe and post-gazette.com. Home delivery customers will receive information directly regarding their service and can continue to access PGe during this time.
