The First Amendment Museum, located in the former Guy P. Gannett home in Augusta, Maine, won a nearly $250,000 grant to complete the design of what officials say will be its state-of-the-art exhibition meant to inspire visitors to understand, practice and preserve their First Amendment rights of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition.
