The entry deadline for  Editor and Publisher Magazine’s EPPY Awards has been extended until the day after Labor Day, according to Mike Blinder, publisher of E&P Magazine. “We’ve had over 150 entries so far, with 50 of them coming in over the weekend,” stated Blinder. “Plus, I received numerous requests from colleges and universities to ‘please extend the deadline’ so they can work within their COVID-19 impacted departments, to coordinate with their remote students and faculty, to make sure they can get all their submissions in.”  The deadline for entries will now be 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Now in its 25th year, the EPPYs are open to all print, digital and broadcast media outlets. The judging process will be coordinated this year by the Local Media Consortium, with Chris Hendicks, LMC president taking the lead role over the panel of 30 judges.

Entries are being taken for 38 diverse categories. This year, the EPPY Awards has broadened its scope with new categories for college journalism and investigative reporting. Publications can also submit nominations for career achievement.

Winners will be announced at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 21. For more information, visit https://www.eppyawards.com/. To enter your publication, visit https://enter.eppyawards.com/
