EagleHerald to reduce daily print schedule

The Marinette Menominee EagleHerald in Wisconsin will follow a growing trend in the newspaper industry and move from an all-print, six-day publication to a combination print and online edition.

Starting Monday, Sept. 28, the EagleHerald will come out in print form on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week. EagleHerald readers will be able to get news on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, but it will be on the paper's improved and re-designed website, ehextra.com.

The changes were announced to staff last week by General Manager Kathy Springberg.

“The printed newspaper will be delivered by the U.S. Post Office directly to subscribers' mailboxes on the same day of publication,” Springberg said. “In addition, we will be enhancing our online site with exclusive content, stories of interest and important late-breaking news. These changes mean thicker printed editions and more news online.”
