Beginning in June, The Daily Herald in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, will combine its Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday/Friday papers, while continuing to publish its Weekend Edition on Saturdays.
The change will enable the paper to return to two sections on the days it publishes, giving readers a more robust edition, according to Publisher Nancy Wykle.
The change does not mean a reduction in local news coverage.
“We are repackaging how we deliver news and advertising,” Wykle said. “We will continue to give readers the same level of local news to which they are accustomed, and remain the paper of record for our region.”
