Anurag Mathur joins Gannett as VP of enterprise and distributed partnerships

Mathur brings over two decades of experience across brands such as Amazon, AT&T and ESPN

Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) has announced that Anurag Mathur has joined as vice president of enterprise and distributed partnerships. In his role, Mathur will oversee syndication and content licensing, philanthropic partnerships and new business development in areas like artificial intelligence. Mathur will report to Caroline Harris, senior vice president of content monetization.

Mathur brings almost 25 years of business development and marketing experience to Gannett, with a focus on consumer brands. He most recently served as the head of business development for Amazon for its expansive suite of devices, with a focus on sports and entertainment partnerships and monetization. In this role, Mathur worked with cross functional teams to promote some of Amazon’s most iconic devices, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and Alexa, while driving global distribution agreements. Prior to this, he held roles at The Walt Disney Company (ESPN), AT&T and Citi Group.

A graduate of University of California, Los Angeles and The Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine, Mathur has regularly contributed to the education and mentorship of others, serving as an adjunct professor at National University and a panelist for emerging leaders programs.
