On Feb. 13, The Leader (Lake Mills, Wisconsin) will grow to include several surrounding communities. Waterloo, Cambridge/Deerfield and Cottage Grove/McFarland/Monona will join with Lake Mills to create the Leader Independent.
The Leader will continue its coverage of Lake Mills, but add even more depth from surrounding areas.
The Leader Independent in print form, on its website and in its e-edition and corresponding app will contain the news and advertising content you now get in four publications — The Leader, The Waterloo Courier, The Cambridge News & Deerfield Independent, and the Herald-Independent & McFarland Thistle.
Tim Sullivan, the current editor of The Leader, will continue to be the editor.
