The El Dorado News-Times is seeking a regional managing editor to oversee daily newspaper operations in El Dorado and at our weekly Camden and Magnolia newspapers. We are looking for an experienced editor who is comfortable managing both print and digital publications.

This hands-on position will guide our staff of reporters through the process of putting together a world class print and digital publication.  This includes writing and editing stories and designing pages for print and digital formats.

We are looking for a candidate to become a part of our community, build relationships, teach, mentor and lead our staff of reporters through the processes of producing quality community journalism.  The successful candidate will be able to coordinate editorial publications and meetings, plan and approve assignments, control schedules and enforce deadlines. 

Critical to our success is providing a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, accountability and respect for all internal and external customers.  A journalism degree or equivalent experience in a community newsroom is required.  Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule.  This is a safety-sensitive position.
