Hannah Combs has been named the new Caroline/Dorchester editor of The Star Democrat, Dorchester Star and Times-Record in Maryland. She is taking over for Dustin Holt, who spent 11 years as an editor, writer and photographer for the newspapers.
Combs is a Dorchester County native and currently resides on a farm in Caroline County with her family. She got her start with APG Chesapeake five years ago as a staff writer.
“I am looking forward to contributing to the county in which I grew up and the one that I now call home,” Combs said in a statement. “As I have watched how our communities have grown over the last several decades while maintaining so many steadfast traditions, I want to continue sharing these experiences with our readers.
